Rotary Updates:
Winter Community Project - Holiday Train: The Canadian Pacific Railway brings the Holiday Train through Portage again this year.  Meet at the train depot on Monday, December 4, 2017 for hot cocoa and cookies starting at noon. There will be music on the train when it comes through at 1:15pm.   There will be no regular Rotary meeting at Dino's on this Monday. We will all meet at the train depot (inside the CP garage, on the east of the station,  to stay out of the weather).

Fall Fundraiser - Draw Down Hoe Down:  Our second largest fundraiser for the club is the Draw Down Hoe Down. This was held on Friday, November 3.

Scholarship Raffle: Thank you to all Rotarians for selling all the tickets this year! Thank you to all the local businesses that donated prized for the hourly drawings. Special thanks to Crawford Oil & Propane for allowing us to sell tickets at their annual customer appreciation and to the Portage Chamber of Commerce for holding the annual Taste of Portage, another location we sold MANY tickets at and held the drawings.
As many of you know, this our club's largest fundraiser. Proceeds go directly to the $10,000 we give away in scholarships.
** For next year's raffle ticket selling, we plan to print tickets early in spring and will have tickets available all summer long to purchase. Look for the updated changes in spring of 2018 **

Taste of Portage: Annual Taste of Portage was held Friday, Aug. 25 and Saturday, Aug. 26. Thank you to our all star cook, Jeff Jelinek, who prepared and served for the Brisket Mac & Cheese and Italian Sausage Bombers. It was a great way to have our club be present in the community, have fun, and generate proceeds to give back to the community. We also sold slushies and raffle tickets from our booth. The final event at the Taste is was our grand prize drawing, which was held at 4:00 pm on Saturday.
