Rotary Updates:
Fall Fundraiser - Draw Down Hoe Down: FRIDAY, NOVEMBER 3 Our second largest fundraiser for the club is the Draw Down Hoe Down. This will be held at North Shore Restaurant at Portage Golf Club.  This is a backwards raffle.  Tickets (includes the ball number, dinner and drinks) are $100 and for each number.  100 tickets are sold, 100 balls are put into the raffle drum, one by one they are pulled out.  Every 10th ball drawn wins $100 back. The last few balls left in the drum can decide if they want to split the cash money grand prize.
Scholarship Raffle: Thank you to all Rotarians for selling all the tickets this year! Thank you to all the local businesses that donated prized for the hourly drawings. Special thanks to Crawford Oil & Propane for allowing us to sell tickets at their annual customer appreciation and to the Portage Chamber of Commerce for holding the annual Taste of Portage, another location we sold MANY tickets at and held the drawings.
As many of you know, this our club's largest fundraiser. Proceeds go directly to the $10,000 we give away in scholarships.      ** For next year's raffle ticket selling, we plan to print tickets early in spring and will have tickets available all summer long to purchase. Look for the updated changes in spring of 2018 **
Taste of Portage: Annual Taste of Portage was held Friday, Aug. 25 and Saturday, Aug. 26. Thank you to our all star cook, Jeff Jelinek, who prepared and served for the Brisket Mac & Cheese and Italian Sausage Bombers. It was a great way to have our club be present in the community, have fun, and generate proceeds to give back to the community. We also sold slushies and raffle tickets from our booth. The final event at the Taste is was our grand prize drawing, which was held at 4:00 pm on Saturday.
